There is a wealth of things to do and see within an hours' drive, encompassing Edinburgh to the north, Hadrian's Wall to the south, Holy Island to the east, and St Mary's Loch to the west. Don't forget the wonderful Alnwick Castle.

St Abbs Head Visit this stunning coastline. About 50 minutes drive. Visit the pictuesque fishing harbour of Eyemouth and perhaps then move on to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Carry on down the Nothumberland coastline: visit Bamburgh castle, Craster and Seahouses to take a boat to The Farne Islands.

On your doorstep, visit Jedburgh Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots House, The Castle Jail a choice of walks and cycle routes or perhaps take a guided Historic Walk around the town. Harestanes Visitor centre makes a great day out for all the family as does a visit to Jedforest Deer and Farm Park. Perhaps do very little read a book on your balcony, just enjoy your accommodation and the peace and quiet.
