Guest Book

Just a few lines to say how very much we enjoyed our time at Larkhall Burn. How clever it was of you to arrange such wonderful weather which really was the icing on the cake. The location and quality of the cottage and your cheery smile in the morning did make all the difference too. We will be recommending Larkhall Burn to our friends many of whom drive straight through the Borders on their way to the Highlands. We will tell them not to miss this quite wonderful part of the world. (Gill, and Peter from Windsor)

Thanks again for a terrific weekend. Larkhall Burn is a little gem in a beautiful and friendly Borders town. We'll definitely be recommending it to family and friends, and hopefully be coming back ourselves in the not too distant future. (Richard Evans)

We have passed through The Borders many times but until we stayed for a week at Larkhall Burn, we did not appreciate what a wonderful area it is - so many places to see and things to do. The accommodation is of the highest standard and we very much enjoyed the town of Jedburgh. (Mr and Mrs Allan from Lancashire)

We are from Berlin and have spent a wonderful holiday at Larkhall Burn. We visited Edinburgh and many of the historic houses and beautiful gardens in The Borders. There was plenty to do for our children aged 8 and 10. (Mr and Mrs Schuebbe, Matthias and Birgit)

This is our third visit to Larkhall Burn we find more things to do every time we visit. What we particularly like is the very comfortable accommodation and in Jedburgh itself, the pubs and restaurants. We have made some really good friends and will be back again soon. (Martina Kwoll from Dusseldorf)

We have been able to find the very place that my great, great grandfather was brought up in. What a beautiful part of Scotland, we hear so much about The Highlands but The Borders take a lot of beating. So much history and heritage. (The Ballantyne's from Arizona)

What a great time we have had, a group of four families were able to take a cottage each at Larkhall Burn which was very convenient and what superb accommodation. In the evenings we could just walk to the town and enjoy a few pints and the great welcome we received from the locals. (The Ealing Rugby Club Tour)

We have always gone North for our holidays but now we have discovered The Borders we realise what we have been missing! (Mr and Mrs Graham from Fife)

What super accommodation everything is there and we enjoyed eating out on the balcony. The weather has been wonderful and we made the most of visiting the long sandy beaches to be found in North Northumberland. Bamburgh Castle makes a great day out for all the family. (The Roberts family)

We live in a noisy city and are busy all year round. The location of the cottages is amazing, wonderful views from the living room and peace and quiet. Only the birds to wake us up in the mornings. We will be back to have a more active holiday next time! (The Sinclairs)

We have really enjoyed our three day winter break. The cottages have all mod cons and are very warm. We had two very good meals in town and enjoyed having a chat in the pubs afterwards. What wonderful shops as well - hardly a multiple in sight! (Peggy Good from Scarborough)

Just to say that we had a great time staying in the cottage. It lived up to my expectations, it is always tricky trying somewhere for the first time, especially online, but we all enjoyed our time. Hopefully we'll do it again soon, probably a weekend or similar. Thanks again. Best Regards (Alistair J Laing, Mid Calder, Scotland)
